This course provides students with the information & techniques to work successfully as a gym instructor. Students will be introduced to anatomy and physiology, nutrition, screening and fitness appraisals, exercise programming, equipment use and maintenance, as well as generic work skills such as communication, client service, risk analysis and first aid.
Students are provided with the training necessary to work in the recreation industry and within gymnasiums and to develop the leadership techniques required in the day to day running of fitness facilities and organisations.
Upon successful completion students will be qualified to work as a Gym Instructor, Recreational Activity Coordinator, Allied Health Assistant & Strength & Conditioning within Sporting Clubs.
